Stella is an ugly name to me. Don't know why. Even though I have a friend with that name. Also, it reminds me of "Stelllllaaaaaa!" a la Seinfeld (but from A Streetcar Named Desire).

I love Niamh! I love the way it sounds and looks, even though people might be confused by the spelling. Something like Niamh Alexandra would be very elegant

The only drawback is the user-unfriendly spelling, of course. But the sound is undeniably gorgeous -- elegant and confident.

Just because of the potential pronunciation issues with Niamh. The name's pretty mainstream now, but I can imagine how frustruating it is when *another* supply teacher calls you "Nee-am" because they hadn't encountered the name or they weren't familiar with the Irish pronunciations.
