Just a year after little Tristan was born, Susie found out she was expecting again and she was devestated. Tristan had just got to the stage where she could leave him at a day care centre whilst she went back to work and now she'd have to give it all up, again. The next shock was finding out that she was having twins- "double the trouble!" Isaac joked. He was ecstatic about having twins and Tristan could sense the excitement too but poor Susie couldn't cope. She wasn't even sure if they had enough money to have twins. But then when she first held her little boy and girl in her arms, that maternal instinct hit her. How could Susie not want these two darling little monkeys? She and Isaac decided to give them German names to honour Susie's German background- Oskar Friedrich and Hanne Rebekkah.
Elsewhere in the family, as the children grow up and their personalities develop, William and Belle spend more time with them. Théo is proving to be an excellent historian. He and Will spend hours pouring over birth certificates and family records trying to trace ancestors or cuddled up together on the sofa reading a book on Egyptians. Kai, however, is a little more 'destructive'. He is by far the loudest of the grandchildren and always play-fights with his cousins. When the younger ones make sandcastles or things of the sort, Kai always comes and knocks it down with a laugh. He's the sportiest too, bringing home medals and trophies from football and tennis- his favourite sports. Olivia is the book worm and can read very well for her age. She practically lives in the library when it's the holidays and is the best at school as well. Her twin brother, Ben, and their cousin, Reuben, are inseparable. The two of them are always to be seen huddled in a corner whispering about something or playing on their bikes which they adore. Grace tries to keep up with Olivia in reading, style and being girly but isn't nearly as good with her schoolwork and is more of a tomboy anyway so enjoys kicking around with Ben and Reuben. Lucas and Rachael have just started primary school and are the shyest of all the children. They like just being brother and sister and don't spend much time with their 'cousins' plus they'd hate it if they ever had any younger siblings. Peter and Tristan, the youngest, just like playing 'lions' with Reuben Snr. Reu crawls around on his knees all afternoon chasing them, making roaring noises then pretends to die or fall asleep and Peter or Tristan would 'silently' creep up on him(there'd be several outbursts of giggling) then Reu would magically spring to life and tickle them both until they can't breathe. Tristan can't pronounce Sophie properley so calls her 'Fi-Fi' and she's fast becoming his favourite aunt. On the baby scene, Oskar is a little screamer- just as Kai was at the same age. He cries so much that Tristan stays at Reuben and Natalie's house so he can get some decent sleep. Will and Belle love their family and wouldn't trade it for thce world.
