I completely love this name, and prefer the y spelling. I'd forgotten about it until reading this post! I like the fact that it has both a country charm, and a classy edge (mostly because of Twyla Tharp).
Twyla Marguerite is very pretty. I have a soft spot for Marguerite, as it is my grandmother's MN. I think the combo definitely accomplished what you're looking for.

You're very welcome! Twyla Jasmine would be very pretty, too. Twyla Chrysanthe is my favourite of my suggestions.

Technically it's masculine and means rosary which translates to "garland of roses" ... so it was a stretch but I love it anyway. When I google it, there are women carrying it as first names as well.
