[Opinions] New Irish names I have found- WDYTO them?
I found them on namenerds.com and I liked these: (all female)
Draighhean DRAY-un Means "blackthorn"
Saorla SAYR-la means "noble queen". -my favorite that I found and probably the easiest to get the right PRN (they would probably say it Say-or-la in America, which is close enough.)
Liobhan LYEE-von means "beauty of women".
WDYTO them? I am starting to love Saorla.

I don't really likme the pronunciation of any of them or the look for the matter. Saorla is ok though, but I'd prefer Stella.
Might I suggest the name Aine as to make this post less useless? Like your favorite Niamh, which I like a lot too, it has a nice look AND sound. :)

Saorla is not like Stella, and how does Aine make this post useless?
When you say, "less useless," that assumes that the post was useless to some degree.
I take issue with that. Dragon-Clarinet's thread is no different than the vast majority of other threads on this board. You may not have heard / seen these Irish names before, and they may not be the most user-friendly. But that doesn't make them "useless."

Uhm uhm...
No. Ariel meant HER post was useless. Dragon_Clarinet's post was not. Basically, Ariel said she didn't like the names, so her post seemed useless [because just saying you don't like something isn't exactly helpful], so she suggested Aine, another Irish name, to make her post less useless.
The names are not useless. This thread is not useless. Ariel just felt her post WAS useless, and thus made a name suggestion to make it less so.
Also, you need to change your posting name, we already have a Bear here.

You know, I've come to realize that I don't like many Irish names. People talk about how confusing French is, what with all the extra letters and such, but in my opinion Irish is far more confusing. (Now that's probably just 'cause I take French, but still.) But like these names--If you hadn't added the pronunciation for them, I would not have a clue how to say them. I really like Draighhean, I mean the sound of it, but not the spelling.
