[Games] Re: Rachel Shay's Congrats Round 2
User Name: Estel
LN: Rosenfield
DH: Avraham Moshe "Avi" [28]
DW: Shiloh Katherine [27]
DS/DS: Malachi Vincent and Elijah Benjamin (3)
DS/DD: Asher Joshua and Miriam Rosalie "Mira" (newborn)When Malachi and Elijah were just over 2 years old, Shiloh found out that she was pregnant again! She and Avi were very excited to be adding to the family, since they'd kind of established a routine with the twins. They would get up in the morning and eat breakfast as a family. Then, Avi would take the car to wherever he happened to be shooting pictures that day and Shiloh would either take the boys to preschool or run errands for the morning. Until Avi got home, Shiloh played with the boys or did housework while they napped or entertained themselves. Avi was usually home by 2 or 3 in the afternoon, so the family often visited the park or went to see friends until dinnertime. Shiloh tried to cook healthy meals at home most of the time, but for a treat on Saturdays, the family ate out for dinner. The twins went to bed around 8:30, so Avi and Shiloh had the evenings to themselves. Incorporating another baby into the schedule seemed simple enough. By 30 weeks, Shiloh was already looking like she was full-term, but the doctors assured her that the baby was just a little bigger than usual. Avi made sure that the doctors checked for the presence of twins, but the ultrasound tech couldn't find any evidence of a second baby. When Shiloh went into labor at 39 weeks, she and Avi were excited about the arrival of their third child. Once in the delivery room, Shiloh astonished everyone by giving birth to another set of twins! The doctors were astounded that the second baby had remained almost perfectly positioned behind the other baby throughout the pregnancy. Thankfully, both babies were completely healthy and were allowed to go home within a week. Because Avi and Shiloh had not wanted to know the gender of their baby, they picked out both a boy and a girl name--and put both to use! Asher Joshua was the name they picked out for the boy. Both Avi and Shiloh liked the name Asher, because it means "happy" or "blessed". They both liked the name Joshua too because it was the name of a prominent figure in the Torah (for Avi) and it was an established and conventional name (for Shiloh). Miriam Rosalie was the name they had picked out for the girl. Avi chose Miriam to use for her first name (and Shiloh pointed out that using Mira as a nickname would be cute). Shiloh decided to use her mother's name, Genevieve Rose, in her first daughter's name (as per her mother's wishes) and that's where the name Rosalie came from. Malachi and Elijah could not understand why their Mommy and Daddy had brought home two babies. Malachi figured maybe the doctors had gotten mixed up at the hospital and had given them two babies instead of one while Elijah thought that they got one boy and one girl to see which one they liked better. Avi explained to the boys that the new babies were twins--like Malachi and Elijah were. This explanation helped to clear things up a lot, and the older twins quickly accepted the younger twins.
