Just about a year after they married, Janis found out she was pregnant. To tell Larry, she bought a pair of baby shoes, put them in a box, and wrapped them up, like a present. She made him dinner, and presented him with his gift. He was surprised (and slightly worried, thinking he missed an important day). When he saw the shoes though, he was ecstatic about becoming a father.
Janis was 4 months along on Thanksgiving, so when they had their families over, they held up two different colored onsies and asked their relatives which one they liked better for the new baby. Everyone was thrilled.
Not long after, they found they wouldn't have to choose between 2 outfits-- they were having twins, a boy and a girl. In April, Janis gave birth to Esme Persephone Maude and Ari Jude Micaiah. Esme was born 6 minutes before Ari.
Larry and Janis haven't gotten a lot of sleep lately, but they are truly loving being parents. They've been talking about having another baby in a few years.
