Avi and Shiloh Rosenfield are quite the unlikely couple--Avi from an Orthodox Jewish background and Shiloh from an eccentric single-parent family. Of course, they say opposites attract and so, the story of how Avi and Shiloh came to be married.
Avi was raised in Virginia, in a strong community of Orthodox Jews. When he turned sixteen, Avi made the decision that he would like to see what the rest of the world had to offer. So, he remained at home until he turned eighteen, then decided to enroll in college. He attended a large university in Boston, Massachusetts and tried anything and everything that looked like fun. In his sophomore year, he met Shiloh.
Shiloh and her two siblings were raised by their mother--a self-proclaimed artist whose main job was painting and sculpting, but to bring in enough money also worked at a local department store. Shiloh grew up with a tendency towards the arts and has always loved ceramics. Shiloh also learned what it was like to move around a lot and earn her own keep. From the time she was thirteen, Shiloh worked wherever someone would hire her--babysitting, dog walking, stocking grocery store shelves, or in customer service. By the time she was eighteen, Shiloh was ready to be on her own. She got into a Boston university and worked her way through all four years. In her freshman year, she met Avi.
She was sitting at a table studying for a French test and he was ordering a double cafe mocha latte from the college cafe.

Penny and Violet met in a dog park two years ago. Violet fell instantly in love with Penelope, who first came to her attention because of her copper-coloured hair. The name Penny, then, turned out to be very well-suited. The two flirted back and forth regularly, but didn't actually become a couple until Penny's dog Roxie became pregnant with Violet's dog Caspian's puppies! After that, they hit it off, and haven't looked back since. They recently had a commitment ceremony held in Violet's home of Olympia, Washington. Shortly after, they decided to start having children. They have chosen to use a sperm donor, and rotate pregnancies. Violet will carry a child first, and then Penny, and so on.

Larry and Janis met during her freshman summer of college [It was Larry's junior Summer]. They were both home visiting their families, and happened to meet on a trip to the beach. They went on a few dates, and were totally into each other.
Sadly, at the end of the summer, they both went back to their respective colleges many miles away from each other. But they kept in touch.
They married last summer. The wedding was quiet, with only family and their closest friends.
Janis just graduated and is looking for work as a Elementary school teacher, and Larry is working toward a doctorate in child psychology. They're looking forward to having children soon.
