Jane and David went to India on a trip one year ago, and there they saw a little girl standing outside an orphanage, with the most expressive dark eyes they had ever seen. It seemed as though her eyes were staring right at them, and they saw the love she had to offer through her beautiful eyes. They felt compelled to adopt her, and they named her Priya, meaning "beloved". Upon returning from India with their new daughter, Jane learned that she was pregnant. Nine months later, she gave birth to a baby girl. They name her Miranda, meaning "admirable," since the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and she almost didn't survive the birth, but pulled through at the last minute and didn't suffer any complications.
