[Opinions] Sailor
I met a woman this afternoon who had a 4-year-old, blonde hair, blue-eyed son named Sailor.
What do you think of this name??

Sailor is a horrible name for a person! What if the boy wants to joing the navy or work with ships when he gets older? I also think the name has a feminine ring to it. Hopefully he has a decent middle name that he can be called. I wonder what his siblings might be named. (Pilot or Tailor, maybe?)
I hate occupation names, and Sailor is no exception. I find it childish and silly.
Hello, Sailor!
Yo ho yo ho...
A pirate's life for me! Though I can't really say much because I've loved Captain as a name for the past 2 years. I wouldn't use it though.

Oh dear, on a boy? It reminds me of Sailor Moon, which is feminine. It's like calling a a child Salesman, or Welder.. No. It's horrible.
Ahoy there..
It's not a name, it's an occupation. I can't take it seriously. A 40-year-old professional named Sailor.. no, I can't see it.

Moon!
Possibly cute on a kid. Totally, completely, horribly ridiculous on an adult. I can't imagine having to introduce myself in professional situations as "Sailor."
I agree with this, except I don't even think it's cute for a child. I would die of embarassment if I had to tell anyone my name was "sailor."
There are some parents who I believe care more about using a name that makes THEM look hip/cool/interesting/up on trends at the expense of their children.

Its very preppy but if it suits his personality as he ages and he has the blond hair and blue eyes, it could be really cool I think. I like the sound of it...and I love to sail.
