John and I were thrilled to find out we were expecting our first child, though we weren't necessarily planning on having our second so close in age to our first.

And yes, we've had another boy - Jude Hamilton Ward. We weren't at all disappointed to have another son, particuarly once we held him for the first time. John was actually hoping for a girl this time around, since we already have our son, but I'm actually quite glad. With the close age difference between the boys, I'm glad that they'll really be able to connect and that they'll always have each other to play with.

Johnny didn't understand too much of my pregnancy, and he still doesn't understand everything. He does seem to get that his little brother is here to stay, and he actually loves to give him hugs and kisses, so the relationship between them is already quite sweet.
