[Opinions] Re: Anna or Olivia?
Olivia. I like Anna all right, but it's never really interested me. Olivia is overused, but it has as very beautiful sound and deserves its overuse. The 'o' of Olivia, when pronounced (sort of O-livia, not Alivia) is also prettier to me than the 'a' (I cannot transcribe the sound I mean, but you've obviously said the name) beginning Anna.Someone else said that Anna had a popularity advantage, but Anna is nearly as popular, at least in my age bracket. I know quite a lot of Annas (though I also know quite a lot of Olivias). I am guessing popularity's not much of a factor for you, but if it is, it doesn't come into play in this contest.Random: can I interest you in Oliva? It's the name of an early saint (who was likely fictional), and probably what the name Olivia was based on. It came to mind because it sounds to me like the halfway point between Olivia and Anna.In short, my answer is: totally Olivia.

Thanks for the input, very insightful. I haven't met too many people named Olivia myself. I know it says it's popular, but I'm not so sure. I've seen quite a few babies named either Hailey / Hayley or Kaitlyn.
