[Opinions] Byron vs. Myron
Byron has a regal feel to it and exerts power. Yet the meaning is unpleasant. The name offers a good namesake.Myron has a much softer feel but can sound a bit whimpy, for lack of a better word. It has a pleasant meaning and it also offers a good name sake.Which name should be allowed to stay on my PNL list.

It seems to be a truth universally acknowledged that Myron is a wimpy name. That's all I've ever heard about it, but I don't see it. I really like it! I can't believe it's hardly ever used.I like Byron but I've only ever met one. He was a floppy-haired toff, and that name already seemed a bit artsy and pretentious... Still, I like it.

Byron i.e. Lord Byron.

Byron, definitely.Like you said, Byron exerts a feeling of power. The meaning isn't that important as most people won't even know about it. Besides, Lord Byron is a good namesake. Myron is one of the ultimate wuss names for boys; like you said, "wimpy".

Definitely Byron. The meaning isn't so bad... It's no worse than something like Leighton or Arkady, or any other place-namey names. It has a strong sound, a great namesake, and is more difficult to make fun of than Myron.

I like Byron much better. I once knew a man when I was little that I called Brother Byron and he is a very kind man, so the name has good associations for me. Plus, like Sophie said, Myron looks too much like moron.
