[Opinions] norwegian name? i need a american-sounding nickname
My sister is very norwegian but shes been living in america for 7 years. she named her kid ÞÓRFRÍÐR HERLEIF !! The poor child hardly speaks norwegian and she get tormented over her name! i need nicknames that sound almost american. the name is pronounced Tove-freed her-leaf

Tova, Frida, Hera would all be fine, Tova would be the most obvious. What's the Norwedian nickname? That'd probably be fine too.
How is the name usually spelled? Because NO-ONE is going to spell it Þórfríđr in the US, 2 of those letters don't exist here. I don't think the problem with the name is the pronunciation or sound, it's the spelling. It's almost in a different alphabet.
