[Opinions] Ned
So, Ned is one of my new favorite names. Problem is, I'd rather not use it as a nn for some "Ed-" name. Can anyone think of any other names that could have Ned as a nn? Ideally, the name would contain the letters N, E, and D, though they don't have to be consecutive. The only names I can think of are Benedict (which I don't like all that much), and the biblical name Nedabiah (which is weird). Thanks to anyone who helps.

I love Manfred. Too bad that I adore Manny as the nn.
At first I was going to dismiss Nekoda, as it reminds me too much of the trendy Dakota, but I thought better about it and...the name intrigues me. Hmm.
Winfred is interesting. If only it didn't sound so much like Winifred.
I think Maynerd is my favorite name from your list. It begins with May, which I think is a pretty sound. I'd have to change the spelling to Maynard, though, for obvious reasons.
Ned doesn't work for me as a nn for Theodore, sorry. I do, however, like Theo.

Only a couple I can think of: Kennedy and Nedavyah (another unusual biblical name - see here: http://www.hebrewbabynames.com/item.cfm?itemid=4597
Did you search this site? If not, which site did you use? BTW, Nedelcho was quite interesting.
I just searched BtN =)
