I've loved the name Max for a long time now and agree that the celebs are certainly loving it at the moment! I just hope it doesn't get so popular that it get's kind of boring. I quite like the name on it's own, but I do also like it as a nn for Maxwell or Maximilian.

I really like Max and have been thinking about it myself lately. I'm alright with Max on his own but much prefer him as a nickname. I dislike Maxwell, it's coffee to me and makes me giggle when I see it,.So I've been thinking about Maximilian (fell in love with it watching "A Good Year" and Maxim/Maksim, as it's a family name for me. I think Massimo nn Max is wicked cool, if Massimo works with your surname (it doesn't with mine).

I dislike all Max names and I think it's been trendy for quite some time. I'd prefer Max on it's own rather than a nickname.

I love Max but only as a nickname for Maxwell. It seems too nicknamey and insubstantial to me to stand on its own, and I don't like Maximilian too much. I love Maxwell, nn Max. If I had ever had a second son, I would have seriously considered this name.

My sister commented once that Max is trendy and popular, but I have never met one, even a child. There were no little boys named Max in my children's school classes, so it never seemed too trendy to me.

I like Max too, just not any of the longer versions of it.
I saw a BA this morning for a Massimo "Max", though.
I thought that was interesting.

What about Maximilian? Maybe it's a bit much, but I quite like it. Max on its own is fine though
