How on earth do you get ER-ee-ah out of Aria? It's AH-ree-ah, as it's a word. ER-ee-ah is a very strange combination of sounds--I could maybe understand AIR-ee-ah, but that would be strange too.
It's pretty but way too fluffy and cutesy and tacky.

In 6th grade or something I played an oboe solo called Aria and Presto. That's my first thought lol. But other than that, it's a beautiful name. So gorgeous and unique but not freakishly weird. Big thumbs up!

I would pronounce it AHR-ee-a or AH-ee-a. ER-ee-a is too much like 'area'.

I actually have no idea how you got EH-ree-a because I used to know a girl called Aria and it was pronounced AH-ree-a.
She had a massive attitude problem, and smoked etc. So I wasn't to fond of her, and hence the name. Plus, as Tippins said it is waaay to sweet for me to swallow if I put that association aside.

Plus it's such a syrupy sweet princess pie of a name that I really can't stand it. It's just perfect, it's like three really conceited and careful teenage girls were sitting around a table stringing flighty syllables together, and happened to come up with three that coincided for the Italian word for "song," and all immediately declared that it was the best name in the world and that they'd all name their daughters Aria Hope, Aria Grace, Aria Lynn, and Aria Gabrielle.

Even though it reminds me of area, I love the spelling and sound of it. It's such a simple & sweet name.

I pronounce it AHR-ee-a, and think of an operatic aria. Aria's better than most word names. I like it, but would never seriously consider it.

I've considered it because of it's musical significance, but I've decided that it seems too light for a name, just not substantial, if that makes sense. But it's pretty.

:) Thanks for that. I actually did not think of the word area when I first saw this name. Reading the responses, the name has now been ruined for me, haha.

I absolutely love Aria (AH-ree-a). ER-ee-a to me would be pronounced like 'area.'
