I prefer Joseph.
Joseph feels more timeless than Joshua. Both are classics that will stand the test of time well. It's just that Joshua had an explosion of popularity in the 80's and that's how I usually think of it. Happily, you can't go wrong with either name.
I love the nn Joss, by the way, for either name.
