I prefer Lindsay.
Lindsay I like better on girls, but it goes fine on either (in my opinion).
I think Shannon should only be used on girls. It's not that it sounds feminine to me, but I've always seen it used on pretty blond cheerleaders, so to me it would seem *way* out of place on a guy.
I can't think of any combos at the moment...
