I guess what you & I consider trendy is very different, because I don't think that a classic name can ever become trendy just popular. Names like Emma, Grace, Emily, Alexandra, etc. are beautifully classic names that just happen to be in style at the moment, but will always be around unlike other trendy names that will fade just as quickly as they emerged like Madison, Taylor, Ryley, etc. for girls. As for Alexandra, I adore this name and I love that it has so many options (nns) to suit various personalities & stages of life and I plan on using it as a mn (Grace Alexandra)... & my sister is an Alexandra & she's pretty sweet (not that I'm biased).
