Help[Opinions] Aisling
Becuase my top names are so eccentric (Theodora, Caspar, Imogen, Edmund, et al), I have been devising a list of alternatives should I find a partner who is less willing to use my more artistic choices. Curious to know what you think.

I say Eamon like AY-a-mon, and Aisling like ASH-ling.

Firstly, I don't consider Imogen to be eccentric but it is quite popular over here (Britain) so I'm used to hearing it. I really like your other combos, more so than Theodora and Edmund but I'm not sure that they are that different in style.
Rowan Thomas - I like it. Rowan seems to be very popular on this board.
Lachlan Samuel - Again, I like it. Lachlan is very popular in Australia so I think of it as being an Australian name.
Eamon William - The only men I know named Eamon are middle-aged so I feel this combo sounds a bit dated. Also, I say Ay-mon and this is the only way I've heard it pronounced. I can't see where the extra syllable comes in.
Bronwen Elinor - like it although I prefer Eleanor.
Aisling Joan - Aisling or Ashling is gorgeous, very pretty. Joan is a mundane frumpy sort of name to me which brings the combo down.

I don't think these are any more usual than your regular choices, though they are lovely. In fact, a few of them are more eccentric than your absolute favorites. Aisling and Rowan are lovely names though. I briefly considered both for this baby.

I wouldn't say that Theodora and Caspar etc are eccentric. They're classic, strong names. (I like all except for Imogen)
Rowan Thomas - ok but I've never liked Thomas and Rowan seems so plain. Nice combo though
Lachlan Samuel - I like this one. Lachlan is cute and Samuel is a ncie classic name
Eamon William - I pronounced Eamon like Ee-mon and liked it. Pronounced Ay-mon or AY-a-mon I'm not sure I like it. William is nice but boring. Good middle name though
Bronwen Elinor - really dislike Bronwen but Elinor is lovely and it's a good combo

To be honest I don't think Aisling or Bronwen can measure up to Theodora.

I've always been a huge fan of Rowan because it's short and sweet and I like the sound of it. Rowan Thomas is kind of bland to me but it's not bad.
Lachlan Samuel is wonderful. I do have one thing against Lachlan though. Every time I see or hear this name I automatically think it should have a nickname but there are no suitable nicknames for it. Samuel has always been a favorite of mine and I personally can not find one flaw for the name Samuel. It's classic, handsome and again... I like the sound.
I like Eamon William. You can never go wrong with William as a middle name because it has a lot of history and it reeks of strength. I pronounce Eamon like AY-mon.
Bronwen Elinor just isn't sitting right with me, besides the fact that I can't stand Elinor. I picture a very cold and hateful, shriveled up woman when I hear this name. Plus I've never been a fan of very many 'B' names.
Aisling Joan is an interesting combination and I like the sound of it. I also like the meaning behind Aisling but with it having that popular 'Ash' sound to it... it kind of throws me off of it.

Actually, I prefer the pronounciation EYES-ling, which I know is not correct, but I am borderline not caring what is the correct Irish pronunciation since I am American.
