Susannah is a lovely name, one of my favourites. Susannah Madeleine is long, but gorgeous. Susie is a darling nickname, as is Annie or Anna. Susannah is elegant, sweet, demure, perfectly suited to a child or an adult.
Serena I don't really care for. It just sounds...contrived? Forced? The 'r' is harsh and a little hard to say, especially in my quasi-Boston accent, while 's' of Susannah is soft and lovely. Susannah is a heck of a lot easier for me to say, and sounds so much nicer.
