Aric or Eric?What do you think?I recently come across with Aric(I had never hear this name before).

DittoEric is on my PNL. I do, however, like Aric and Erik... just not nearly as much as Eric :)

Of those two, definitely Eric. Aric just looks fake, even if it's perfectly legit. However, I prefer Erik to either and Erich remains my favorite.

Yeah, same.I don't know why. If I wanted to be practical though, I'd use Eric to avoid misspellings.

Agreed.Erik trumps them all, but if the choice is Aric vs. Eric, then Eric it is.

Same here.Though I'd definitely take Eric over Aric, since Erik's not a choice.This is one of those things where personal associations mean everything; Erik is how one of my brother's best friends spells his name, and he is (or was, since I haven't seen him in ages ;_;) like my brother, himself.

I like Eric, but I prefer Erik as it is the Scandinavian/Germanic spelling.

I knew a boy named AerykPronounced the same way as Eric.I think I'd stick with the original spelling (Eric)

YikesI bet teachers would look at it and expect it to be something different, but then they'd sound it out and be confused that it sounded like a normal name. That's what I'd do. :)

Eric.Aric is NMS. It looks sort of . . . artificial? Not the word I'm looking for, but oh, well.I'd go with Eric, or Erik if you want to take the German/Scandinavian route.Edited... Added something (and deleted something).
