[Opinions] Angel for a boy
I am liking Angel for a boy pronounced the English way [as I'm not Spanish :)]. What first or middle name would go well with it?I am liking Jeremiah Angel at the moment I think it sounds handsome WDYT?

Keep in mind, if you're California, Angel is going to be pronounced the Spanish a lot of the time just because there are so many people are native Spanish speakers and Angel is primarily a Latino name. At least where my kids go to school, a few of the teachers are native spanish speakers and insist on using Spanish pronunciations for students' names. That's something parents are going to have to start considering when naming kids if they live in the southwest.

Actually over here [as far as I know] Spanish and Mexican people say the name in English I've never heard them say it in Spanish.

I prefer Amadeo, which has a similar feel to me. Not so keen on Angel, but better on a boy then a girl, at which point it becomes a stripper name to me. (No offence meant to anyone who likes the name!)Jeremiah Angel is handsome, if sort of an odd pairing. And I'm sorry, I'm no good at combos.

I love Angel for a boy! I find it hard to make combos with though, so I'm not totally sold on any of these:Angel Ignatius
Angel Juan (the first time I ever saw it as a name)
Angel Miguel
Angel Milo
Angel Santiago
Angel Sebastian
Demetrius/Dmitri Angel
Finnegan Angel
Fyodor Angel
Solomon Angel

maybe ArchangeloI think it's tacky or either sex, though I do like Archangelo.

It's interesting. I think I kind of like the concept, although I've never liked the sound of it very much. Angels are a very masculine concept to me. I have no combo suggestions, but I approve of Jeremiah Angel.

I hate Angel as a feminine name - it makes much more sence on boys - so strong and interesting. (A bit like Evangelos. I can't stand Evangeline, but it's "masculine form" seems simply gorgeous and eccentric to me)
I agree that Jeremiah Angel sounds handsome, I can't think of any other combos right now - maybe something like Bartholomew Angel, Angel Nathanael or Oliver Angel could work..

I don't really care for Angel on either gender. I'm not yet sure I've got the word I want to describe my feelings for names like Angel and Princess, but for now I'm going with aggrandised. That said, I don't think it's overly feminine such that you couldn't use it for a boy.

I think Angel is not good for either gender. I think if you want the meaning, names like Gabriel are better. Angel just sounds too...saccharine. Too cloying for my taste.

I see Angel in English as being more feminine, and I know some people find it "stripper-ish" (I don't really). But I guess as a middle name you coudl pull it off. Jeremiah Angel flows well. Otherwise, there's always Angelo (prn. with a soft "g" as Angel in English).
