[Opinions] You sure she didn't mean Daniel?
in reply to a message by Sarah
Why the heck would someone use a feminine form of a name on a boy? Where's the Earth Logic in that?Sorry to say, I hate the name Danielle on a girl. On a boy would just be even more ridiculous. (Though I actually like Daniel alright. Go figure.)

Oh, I'm the same way.I despise Danielle. It just seems so...I dunno, 80's & tacky in the way of HUGE hair, hot pink lipstick & striped legwarmers.Daniel has a totally different vibe. ;o)(edited for formatting)

Me, too. [m]Daniel is my favorite boys' name. Danielle is my LEAST favorite "legit" (not made up) girls' name.

Ditto"It just seems so...I dunno, 80's & tacky in the way of HUGE hair, hot pink lipstick & striped legwarmers."I've always thought the same thing. Plus, my brother is named Daniel, so Danielle for a boy is almost an insult.

Yup, that's exactly why I don't like Danielle. It's massively dated, IMO.
