Sitara is okay, but not really my style. I think of the sitar (a musical instrument) more than the actual meaning.
Overall, I prefer other derivations of that Indo-European root word meaning 'star', such as Stella and Estella / Estelle / Estel.

I agree - my first thought was the instrument as well. And I do prefer other names that mean "star" over Sitara.
