I like Rose! It's refined and pretty, and not at all dull or boring, plus its shortness is a part of its charm.
I love Rose as a fn. I would use it if I could (last name has one syllable).
I think it's a lovely name. Very sweet & feminine.
:)
:)
I like Rose
No, I think Rose is wonderful, beautiful, and not at all boring. However, when used as a middle name, Rose is quite boring and fillerish.
If you really do think Rose is too short and boring, you might like longer names with the Ros- element, like Rosalind, Rosamund, Rosemary, Rosanna, Rosa, Rosalie or Roswitha.

I don't think it's too short/boring. I'm really surprised it's not used more nowadays. It's really quite sweet IMO. Sweet, memorable, distinctive, easy to pronounce, easy to understand, easy to recognize. It's a pretty much perfect first name for a modern baby IMO.
It's a bit short-sweet for my "hypothetical child 4real" taste, but I like a lot of short sweet names A LOT and think they're very sensible and dignified.
Having said all that, I'm referring to it mostly as a first name, although it's a sweet middle name as well - it's just much more common there, and wouldn't ever get used. My parents considered naming my little sister Anna Rose but they went with Anna Frances. I decided to tell you that since you are Frances posting about Rose :P

I love Rose. I would probably use Rosalind/Rosalyn/Rosaline, etc., but I like it on it's own too. I wouldn't ever use it as a middle name though, I think that's way too overdone, and boring.
It is one of those rare names I really want to like, but I still have not found a way to warm up to it. There isn't anything wrong with it, I just prefer related names.
I love Rose, as a first name.
I don't think it's too short; nor do I think it's boring as a first name. It is boring as a middle name, though.

I like it! It's VERY seldom heard here in Germany! It's no way too boring! I'd say it's a timeless classic.
Rose is very pretty, and it's not used enough as a first name.
It kind of freaks me out as a middle name, because then I don't think of a flower, I think of the verb. Like:
Anna Rose [from the shadows]
Charlotte Rose [out of the well]
Margaret Rose [from bed]
Sophia Rose [from the grave!] (ahh)
But as a first name, the flower comes to mind, and it's quite pretty. It would need a longer middle name, but it's not *boring*.

If you love it, go for it! Nothing wrong with Rose.
its really nice but is overused...
