I really like the name and the meaning. It has been on my mind a bit lately.
I like it because of Zora Neale Hurston.
Makes me think of Zelda (the videogame)
Although that's not a bad thing. Zelda games are some of my favorites.

Ditto. :o)
I love the name Zora, and I won't deny that it's mostly because I think of a graceful, water-dwelling people who remind me much of dolphins.
I'd actually consider using it if it weren't for the fact that Zelda is my absolute favorite name. Two Z names is pushing it; two names connected by the same video game is rather ridiculous, even for me.
Apart from the Legend of Zelda connection, though, there's also Zora Neale Hurston. So it has literary significance, too, and all of this combines to make a very strong, yet graceful, name.

I like it. The meaning is great too.
I find it pretty, as I do several Z girl names at the moment, but it reminds me too much of "Zorro" to ever actually use, I'm afraid.
The Zoras are an aquatic race in the Legend of Zelda. And I'm a geek.
I think of Zora Neale Hurston, whom I admire, so I like it a lot. For a short, simple name, Zora is lush and evocative.
I agree. That's who I think of first, and it is very evocative.
t sounds a bit jungly to me - I prefer Ziva.
