I love Roxanne, but Roxie is totally trashy to me. Spencer is ok-ish on boy (too surnamey) and trashy on girl...

I also like the form Roxana. Spencer is ok for a boy, I don't like it for a girl.
I like both Ada and Ava. I would choose Ada (or Adah), since Ava is so popular.
"You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)

I really like the name Roxanne, nn Roxy. Any time I've mentioned it to family members they've said that they don't like it! I quite like Spencer as a mn for a boy, but I don't like it for a girl at all. I LOVE the name Ava and I'm thinking of using it for a dd of my own in the future. Ada is lovely too.
Ooh, Roxy/Roxie is an absolute favourite of mine, although I doubt I'd never name my child that. Spencer and Ada aren't really my style adn I think that Ava is nice, but too trendy.
I loathe both Roxanne and Spencer (especially on a girl!), sorry. I like Ava, but it's really trendy. I prefer Eva and Eve. Ada said AH-dah is lovely, but I don't care for it said AY-dah.
Ooh, Roxane (I prefer one n) is my guilty pleasure; I'm mildly obsessed with Cyrano de Bergerac. I wouldn't even use a nickname, but Roxy will work.
Spencer is bearable on a boy, but sounds rather silly on a girl. Ava and Ada are nice, though the former is a little too celebrity-chic for me.
