It's definately Katherine for me. I don't like Cs in names because it makes it seem like it should be an S sound, regardless of the name, and Kathryn has every trendy/kre8tyff quality about it. I love the nick names Kate and Katie, but Kat and Kitty won't do it for me. Why name someone after a house pet? I also love the nick names Kateri and Katri. My cousin's full name is Katery (pronounced "KATE-er-ee") and I love it. She goes by Kate.
