[Opinions] Munro
Lately I'm loving Munro for a boy. It's a strong Scottish name, nicely uncommon here (I've never met one) ... but not silly or strange. It also sounds great as a middle name because the second syllable is stressed. I'm in love - I don't know why I haven't thought of it before. Wdyt? Some combos ...Adrian Munro
Calvin Munro
Damien Munro (I can only like it with an 'e' atm - I've got Damien Rice on repeat)
Gideon Munro
Joel Munro
Kieran Munro
Morgan Munro
Nathaniel Munro
Sullivan Munro (This is too surnamey for me, isn't it?)
Tristan Munro

It's growing on me too. If I were to use it it would be as an indirect way of honouring my father (he loves mountains and mountain walking, in particular the Munros :) )I like:
Adrian Munro
Keiran Munro (though I prefer the spelling Ciaran)
Nathaniel Munro
Tristan Munro (my favourite)Sullivan Munro is a bit surname-y and I find it very mountain-y because of the mountain Suilven in Sutherland (which isn't even a munro).

Love it! It's different, but in a good way.

Munro is great for Scotland, here it would never fly.Too bad, I love it.I adore:
Damien Munro, Kieran Munro, Morgan Munro and Nathaniel Munro. Especially Morgan Munro. Too cool.

I believe you that it wouldn't fly, but I wonder why. It's Scottish, which is fashionable - admittedly it doesn't have the Finn / Aidan / Calum sort of sound that is trendy. But quite a few -o names were in vogue here (and I assume, in RL) not so long ago, like Milo and Hugo.Do you think it's Marilyn Monroe that's the trouble? Or just the unfamiliarity? Just curious :)

I think it's an okay name. My favorite of your combos are Kieran Munro, Morgan Munro, and Tristan Munro. Nathaniel Munro sounds nice too, but I don't like Nathaniel. My only thing with Munro is that it sounds very surnamey since I pronounce it the same as Monroe.

I like Munro a lot. Out of your combos I like Adrian Munro, Gideon Munro, Kieran Munro, Morgan Munro and Tristan Munro.
Sullivan Munro is nice, but your're right depending on the surname it could be too surnamey

I really love Monroe. It looks strong and presidential to me, whereas Munro just looks somehow incomplete. I think it works really well as a middle name.

i love it for the same reasons you listed. although Munro seams incomplete to me i think Monroe looks "right".

I'd have to disagree with it not being silly or strange, to be perfectly honest. I just think of Marilyn Monroe and I think most people probably would. Most of your combos flow well but I'd stay way from Joal Munro (rhymey), Damien Munro (clashes) and Sullivan Munro (for the reason you specified).

Are you from Scotland, though? When people post various names you have to keep in mind there location.
