[Opinions] Lars
A boy's name that's been on my mind recently is Lars. What do you think of it?

I really like it actually.

Knew a beautiful blonde boy named Lars once. Had lovely hair. Good associations for me ... plus I love the way it sounds.

I've never really been able to warm to it. It's fine on someone else's kid, I guess, but it's not my cup of tea.

I have grown to like it over the years. I used to hate it because it was the stereotypical Swede name that you always see in movies and television shows...along with his wife Lena. I do however think it would go great in a sibset with Hans.

It's bad. I can't say that I like it. I can't even tell you that I think that it's relatively okay.

Honestly, I really dislike it. There was a bad character in something scary I read when I was little and ever since then the name has creeped me out.

Lars is an awesome name and one that I would love to see on a little boy. Its strong rare and it ages well. A very good pick.

I don't really care for the sound of it, I picture a big, blond, dumb jock type exchange student from Denmark that all the American girls dump their boyfriends for. lolMy stepfather is named Larry and we occasionally call him Lars for fun.

I used to babysit two boys back in the day when Rocket Power was "big" (not sure if its still on). Anyway, Lars is the "evil" older brother of one of the main characters. That is all I can seem to think of. Otherwise, I guess its not horrible, but I can't seem to like names that are less than five letters. (Very few exceptions, and I have a hard time with the ones I do like)

Lars was the last name I added to my PNL, it's been growing on me too :)I think its very fun, short and to the point without being nicknamey. I imagine it would age well.

I have a cousin whose mom is from Denmark and he has this name. He's very a very tall, smart, and successful doctor now. However, she said it with her accent and in America kids said Lars rhymes with Mars which opened up a world of elementary school taunting.
