A lot has been happening with the Thompson family!
Wil, now forty, is still working with the Navy and still enjoying it. He has grown close to a lot of his coworkers. Bekah is enjoying meeting all of her new grandchildren and still raising all of her own kids!
Hugo, 28, is now married! Nearly a year ago now he married a girl he met in German class, Kirstin Mckenna Johanssen. Kirstin is 26 and also hoping to become a German translator. Hugo has found himself a job in New England as a German translator for a large company that deals internationally. He really enjoys the job and is looking forward to meeting all kinds of new people. Hugo has also regained custody of his ten year old son, Keegan. In addition to all of this, Kirstin and Hugo have just welcomed their first child together, Caitlin Jordyn. Caitie is a very active baby. Her middle name is after Bekah's mother who passed away last year.
Jonas is now in the Army and is working in a combat position, but eventually he wants to become an engineer. He and Annie were married two summers ago and they just welcomed their first child--a boy! His name is Eamon Finley Thompson. Eamon is an adorable little boy who looks a lot like Jonas.
Kathy is 24. She is very happy to finally be practicing social work. She loves her job and enjoys impacting so many lives. She and her boyfriend of three years, Jeff, are engaged to be married in four months.
Lara is 21. She is a junior in college and ended up majoring in both psychology and Japanese. She isn't sure what she wants to do with the Japanese, but she is very interested in Japan and the Japanese culture.
Nicky is 19. He is a college freshman. He intends to be a biology major with specializations in research and genetics. He purchased a horse his senior year in high school and decided to take the bay gelding with him when he went to college. So...not only are Wil and Bekah paying for their son to go to school; they're also paying board for a horse! It's okay though, because Nicky loves the horse so much.
Eira is 14. She is looking forward to high school next year and can't wait for college to start. Bekah thinks she's a little young to be thinking that far ahead, but Eira is a dreamer. She wants to be an author and write novels for people of all ages. She would also love to climb a mountain.
Amber is 12 now. She is in seventh grade. She enjoys all sorts of activities, but is especially interested in painting and gymnastics. She and her gym club made nationals last year and Amber loved the experience. She hopes to do it again this year. Soon she'll be hoping to go to the Olympics.
Mary and Sarah are 6. They are still doing gymnastics, but aren't nearly as obsessed about it as Amber is and was. They like a bunch of different activities and are always going a dozen different directions at once.
Sophia, the youngest, is 4. She is in preschool and quite the drama queen. She likes to be the center of attention. Sophia is also a pretty good singer, for a four year old.
