James and Antonia met during their junior year of high school. Antonia was a foreign exchange student from Germany studying at James' high school for a year. They quickly became friends, and even though they both suspected that there was more than just friendship, they never crossed that line because Antonia would have to leave soon. But they kept in touch over the years, and somehow they ended up individually deciding to go to the same university. They were engaged in the middle of sophomore year but chose to hold off getting married until after graduation. They just moved into a three-bedroom, two-bath, newly renovated brownstone in New York City. James is an architect and Antonia is studying to become a doctor.
