Sorry, I just thought that was an interesting comment. Sure someone familiar with the Bible would know it, but I think generally it would also be the well educated. Well educated to me means they have a good knowledge of all areas and that would include Christianity to me. The well educated people I know aren't necessarily Christian but would know the connection between Ruth and Naomi.
Maybe my experience is unusual *shrugs*
