I thought people might pronounce it Lily-ASS or at least other kids might!
I do like Lilias Mairi, thanks. Although I think Mara has a certain Scottish flavour too, especially as Mara means 'sea' in Gaelic. One of my reasons for choosing it was that it can mean this, rather than 'bitter'
