[Opinions] Still not sure on pronounciation (Belen)
They've hadded a sound guide here now that says be-LEN, I have said BAY-len in the past. How would YOU say Belen? and wdyt for a girl?

I've always thought it was beh-LEN. But I've never met anyone with the name, so I'm not positive.
I had a teacher last year with that as her last name (except I think it was spelt Belan) It was pronounced bell-an, so Belen would probably be bell-en... at least that's how I'd pronouce it.

The "e" sound in Spanish sounds like a cross between "eh" and "ae" as in ape. It sounds like A with your mouth not opened all the way. So you're both right! According to me!
