It's up there as one of my favorite nicknames for Elizabeth. Sure, it's a little cute, but I can just as easily see a headstrong adult with the name, too. And if she grows to dislike it, that's why it's a nickname, right? ;D

I love Isis, too. I asked about it a while ago (including whether people thought it was usable), and I think the general consensus was that it's a perfectly good name. And I agree. :o)

Betsy is perfectly acceptable, just not something I would use myself. It seems a bit like a name for a cow, IMO lol. I think Isis is 1) positively gorgeous and 2) usable as long as the bearer holds their head high about it, because honestly I think Isis does have potential.

I think Betsy is quite cute, but not ott cute. Isis is nms, just not fan of the sound of it.

Betsy is one of my favorite nicknames for Elizabeth. (I also like it as a nn for Beatrice.)

I'm mildly fond of Isis and I do think it's usable.

I don't like Betsy as much as other nns for Elizabeth - it feels like it belongs on a doll. Isis is cool; but I wouldn't put it with Betsy - Isis was an Egyptian god I think? A world away from the 50s cutesy Betsy.

I love Betsy as a nn- it's totally adorable and much cuter than the other nn's for Elizabeth in my opinion.
I also like Isis- it's different without being made-up and I like it's direct and to the point sound.

Betsy is okay, but I like other nicknames for Elizabeth better like Beth, Bess, or Lizzie. Elizabeth is my favorite name! Isis is too unusual for me unless you were Egyptian. Most people would not know how to pronounce it. Other Is names are better like Isabel/lle/la.

Elizabeth "Betsy" would be really nice, not my thing, but nice to see other people use.

Isis is way too Egyptian goddess for me, but I've seen it on a few BA's so it wouldn't seem way to out there. May I suggest Iris? It is similar, just as pretty and comes without the whole goddess associations.

Betsy is OK, but I think there are much prettier NNs for Elizabeth, too. It's not too cutesy, but I don't think it's particularly interesting.

Isis is simply gorgeous. It's beautiful, elegantly simple, and very sophistocated. It's perfectly usable.

I love Betsy as a nickname for Elizabeth! If I named a daughter Elizabeth I would want to call her Betsy.
