[Opinions] WDYTO Blake?
For some reason I'm growing to love this name.
But I hate trendy names with a passion. This name would be in honor of William Blake a poet I studied as a child.

I love the name Blake. It's our son's name. It's strong and masculine. It's not trendy at all. It's been in the top 100 boys names for the past 15 years. Our son loves being the only Blake at his school too. I think it's a great choice!

Well, you could always use William. IMO it sounds a lot less trendy and pretentious as Blake does. William Blake may be your intended namesake, but by using his first name he has a lot more namesakes too.

I'm not a big fan of the "trendy's" either, but this is one I also really like!

I don't really consider Blake trendy, but aside from that I don't like it much.

I like it! All the Blakes I've known have been really cool and nice. I wouldn't worry about the popularity, I've only known 2 Blakes. And I don't consider it trendy.

I like William Blake too and it irks me that Blake is becoming more used - and as a girls name too! For that reason, I think I would stay away.

I love Blake, but it's popularity does throw me off a bit. If I used it, it'd be to honor William Blake as well. I think it's just fine to use trendy names if they have a special meaning to you.

I don't really like Blake because of bad personal associations, but if you like it and it's honouring someone like William Blake then I think it's fine.

I've started to like Blake again. It's nice, handsome name, and even though it's common, I don't think it as a trendy name.

I also think that Blake is a good name. I did not really like much before, but now I love the name. I don't think that Blake is all that trendy. And it is nice to honor William Blake, too. Blake is a good name.

I don't like it. I don't like the sound at all and it sound like the Dutch word for 'pale' (which is its meaning), so for me it sounds a bit like naming your child Pale.
