I think it's gorgeous. I wouldn't use it because it's very, er, evangelical, and I also live in the U.S., where this just happened:

I dislike Eva and Evan--don't know why for Eva, Evan because it's a boys' name and seems really contrived to me. But I think Evangeline "Evie" is adorable and also gorgeous and sophisticated. I also like Angelina and Angelica a lot, but Evangelina is too much for me.Someone's probably suggested "Van" already.
Someone's also probably mentioned Evangeline Belrose as Cambria's old combo before she actually got pregnant-- her baby is now Evangelynn Jeanne-Elyse. But I've always liked Evangeline Belrose a lot.And I don't know anyone with this name. But again,
