I've always liked the name a lot. I think it would be great on a little girl these days. It also suits an adult, which is important. It doesn't remind me too much of a penny, but we don't have them here in Australia! I really don't like Penelope either and to me, Penny can stand on it's own, no problems. It has enough spunk to be fine as a full name. Pennie looks terrible imo! Penny is just fine and looks nice, but Pennie just doesn't seem right. Penny Violet is really nice, I like it a lot. It's funny you brought this name up, because I just heard it a couple of days ago and it got me thinking about it again!
