Theron couldn't believe he already had 4 children before the age of 30. He had expected to be a bachelor well into his 30s, but here he was, a young doctor with an seemingly ever-growing brood. He made it clear to Roxanne that he did not want any more children, and Roxanne agreed as she was tired and wanted to lose her baby weight. Secretly, however, Roxanne really wanted more children and was jealous that Theron had a son (Fernando) who was not hers. Roxanne started sneaking around with one of Theron's partners in his plastic surgery practice, Dr. Lowell Hart, who was married and had 3 children of his own. When Roxanne found out she was pregnant she was a bit nervous about what Theron would say but wickedly exciting because she thinks the child might be Lowell's. She became even more nervous about telling Theron when she found out she was carrying twins AGAIN. She finally got her courage up to tell her husband, but conveniently left out the part about the babies not being his. Theron was upset and screamed about how he thought they had "taken measures" to keep this from happening. Roxanne just cried and accused him of not loving her or their children. After several days of not speaking to Roxanne, Theron finally came to terms with the fact that he would be having 2 more children, and the couple made up. Meanwhile Lowell tries to convince Roxanne to leave Theron and move to California with him. The thought of leaving her other children outrages Roxanne and she promptly ends her relationship with Lowell, assuring him that the children she is carrying are Theron's and not his. She, of course, doesn't know if this is true, but she decides to keep the secret to herself.
The Windhams continue to live a normal family life with little Curran starting kindergarten and Fernando making straight As in 7th grade. Life seems good, but the secret Roxanne holds still looms. Will some aspect of the twins' personalities or looks give away who their father is? Should she tell Theron? Will there be more children?
