I much prefer Elisabeth to Elizabeth. Spelling it with an S isn't really all that creative, as it is also an accepted variant form and according to this site, biblical.
As for nicknames, I like Libby. I also like Eli (EE-lie). My favorite nickname would be Ellie though.
