Minoru traveled to America from his home in Japan when he was just 16 years old. He was a great adventurer and wanted to travel the world and see new things. He came against the wishes of his family but he couldn't seem to let go of his dreams and not travel.
Lilja arrived in America with her family at the age of 8. She has just started teaching at a very small school in a very small town in Wisconsin. Minoru met her by chance when he was traveling through the town. After 4 years of traveling through America he decided to marry and settle down in rural Wisconsin with Lilja.
