This is my daughter, Arielle Rain Lily, nn Ella.
You say: Hey, Ella! Do people ever tease you for sharing a name with Ariel the mermaid?
You think: Lily is the only one I like, so it's buried in the third slot...come to think of it, why three names when the other kids get two? And why Rain?
This is my son, Milo Johann.
You say: Hi, Milo. Your name is great, esp. Johann.
You think: Lovely, though the repeated O is a bit off.
This is my daughter, Caitria Romayne, nn Cait.
You say: Hello, Cait. Wow, that name's very unusual. I like it.
You think: Caitria is nice and so is the nickname, but the spelling of it bothers me. It's a personal tick, but I think all spelling other than Kate look so precious. I can understand why you'd rather go with a spelling more logically connected to the name, though. Romayne? Like lettuce?
