I recently heard the name Romola and thought it was interesting. It is derived from Romulus so I am assuming that it is pronounced RAHM-o-la, or some variation of that. Does anyone know? What do you think of this name in general? I do like Ramona and have been thinking about Romaine. What do you think of these?

Mirabelle has caught my attention as well. I'm not sure if I like the -belle or -bel spelling better. Opinions are needed! Thank you!

Romola is a latin name meaning "lady of Rome" and is also the title and name of a George Elliot novel. I like it too.
I also like Mirabel/ Mirabelle very cute.

Romola is very nice, I think of the actress Romola Garai, as that is the only person I have ever heard it on. I would pronounce it roh-MOH-la

Ramona & Romaine are okay, but I like Romola better.
Roma, Romana, Romina are also nice, and I love Romy.

Mirabelle is gorgeous! One of my favorite names, I definitely prefer the spelling Mirabelle over Mirabel. Mirabel looks incomplete to me, however most people will say that Mirabelle is "frilly".

Romola looks to me like some sort of brand of telephone or electronic doodads. I like Ramona a lot better, and I'd like Romaine if I didn't instantly think of lettuce. As for Mirabelle, I really like it, but I prefer the spelling Mirabel.

Romola - I'm pretty sure it's pronounced rom-OL-a. I prefer Romulus for a boy.
Ramona - I can't get the image of the children's book character out of my head.
Romaine - ...as in lettuce.
Mirabel - Too frilly for me but I prefer this spelling.

I think Romola Garai pronounces her name roh-MOH-lah, though I could be mistaken. I like it all right for someone else--more than I do Romaine--but I far prefer Ramona.

Mirabel(le) is quite nice, but again, I prefer it for someone else.
