Esmond looks like someone smushed Edmund and Desmond. It sounds ugly and very, very old-mannish to me. I love Ezra.

Definitely Ezra. Esmond sounds like a cross between Desmond and Edmond, both of which I like a lot but Ezra just sounds a little more fun and spunky, not quite so stuffy. :b

Ezra definitely. I think the whole sound and look of that name is just nicer than Esmond.

I like the meaning of Esmond and even the sound, but Ezra wins for me.

If I were to picture an Ezra he'd be hardworking and have a lot of integrity. For some reason I picture him with Auburn hair.

You really have me stumped. I'm probably no help at all. Ezra is on my list as well. I love it but I'm really liking the uniqueness of Esmond. I think as of this moment I would go with Esmond, however don't ask me tomorrow because I will probably choose Ezra.

I don't particularly like either, but I'll take Ezra, because I dislike the -mond in Esmond.

I am really liking Esmond. I have Edmund on my list, but DH would use Ed as a nn, and I loathe Ed. Maybe he would like Esmond and it would work better? *curious*

Anyway, I really love Ezra too. Esmond would be something different, Ezra would be a little more popular. Which would you prefer? I see both as very handsome and charming names.

Ooh, that's tough. Esmond's very handsome, but I personally like Ezra better. I think Esmond could be easily confused more often (with Desmond, Edmond, etc.). Plus, I think Ezra has that nice guy vibe to it. Kind of like that happy-go-lucky guy who's friends with everyone, you know? :)

Esmond, I just like the sound and the look more. I like the meaning more as well, and I like the fact that Esmond is a bit more unusual than Ezra. However, Ezra is also a nice name.

Esmund. because it just looks better. and Ezra, to me, seems lame and trendy.
