Becoming grandparents was no shock. I was standing in the kitchen, making a dinner with Willa when she threw up. She told me she had done this every day that week, and she ran up to my room to take a pregnancy test. It came back positive and she flipped out. But then, the greater shock for everyone was at Willa's baby shower, when I threw up! We discovered then that we were both pregnant! Having an 8 month old and one year old is NOT easy, but lots of fun. And we love having a new baby around. Nobody was upset that there would be two screaming babies!
Especially because we bought a huge suprise for Gabe and Willa. A house! When Willa was 8 months pregnant, the lot next door to ours freed up, and we bought it. But instead of demolishing the house, they left the house intact for "the sweetest young couple they'd ever seen!" It's nice to have them next door.
