(Sorry, I kinda made up my own writing prompt. I'll fit yours in.)
Like father, like son. Daniel and Kathryn met in their high school geometry class last year; he was a sophomore and she was a freshman. The two did not exactly hit off - Kathryn still refers to his attitude when they met as "arrogant, lazy, and downright rude." She was further put off when he fell asleep in class nearly every day for the first two weeks, yet got the highest score in the class on the first test. (She had the second.) The teacher then moved him to sit beside Kathryn in hopes it would have a positive effect on him. That seemed to fail - in fact, it did the opposite. It's difficult to concentrate with an "arrogant, lazy, and downright rude" guy sitting behind you and poking you in the back with a pencil. Eventually, they began to get along slightly better, but the class ended before they were anywhere near friends.
History just had to repeat itself, however. The next year, they were put in Algebra II together. Daniel had matured slightly through a bad break-up, and Kathryn had finally cooled off. They began the class competing constantly, one always trying to outdo the other score-wise. Daniel even began to do his homework, a sure sign he was worried. :) After about two months, it grew to be too much for those of us around them (family, friends, and teachers) to take, so Kathryn's friend Lily set them up. To the surprise of the two of them (and nobody else) they hit off right away.
Daniel, a junior, is the child in our family who is the least sure of his future plans. He is considering going into architecture, with his shocking talent for geometry and design, but isn't really sure. He does know he wants to go to college - why bother with all that math homework and not get anything out of it? We had some trouble with him near the end of his sophomore year; he came dangerously close to being expelled when he hit his English teacher. (This did nothing for Kathryn's opinion of him.)

The family is doing great! Michael and Lauren both love high school...so far. Michael still loves hockey, Lauren is now playing softball. We just met Michael's girlfriend, Anna, nice girl. The triplets are doing great too. Ava & Emma are in gymnastics and Christopher is playing baseball. Mario and Nicky play soccer. Our baby just started kindergarten. Our days are hectic but we love seeing them happy, and they are. Mikey wants to be a rock star for right now,.. but he's 16. Lauren loves animals and wants to be a vet.

The triplets are doing great too. Ava & Emma are in gymnastics and Christopher is playing baseball. Mario and Nicky play soccer. Our baby just started kindergarten. Our days are hectic but we love seeing them happy, and they are. Mikey wants to be a rock star for right now,.. but he's 16. Lauren loves animals and wants to be a vet.

Eliza has her heart set on Brown, followed by a job in the media, and then 'at least three kids'. Alex is thinking about spending a year in Paris or even going to college in France, but he says he definitely wants to return to start a family. He has no idea what he wants to do for a living!
Madeleine and Felix are also thinking towards the future; Madeleine wants to be a fashion designer with her own boutique, although for now she's very happy with just hanging with her friends, 'checking out guys', and going to all the parties she can find. Felix, ideally, would work in the music business, and while he's not so much of a social butterfly as Madeleine, is loving life in highschool just as much as she is. Charlotte and Mia are just starting to realise that their childhood dreams of being 'rich and famous actresses' aren't too realistic, although they both love acting and they're both absolute drama queens! And of course, Teddy, Milly and Jacob are still happily in the "I'm gonna be a soccer star / fairy princess / dinosaur slayer" days.
As for general life; I really can't believe the kids are all growing up so fast! Eliza has her first serious boyfriend, a lovely guy named Charlie who is a year older than her, which Miles was a little worried about initially but quickly came round to. They're very cute together and she really likes him. Alex and Felix are both girl-obsessed right now; while Alex is working his way through liking every single girl in his grade, Mads and Felix are loving having each other's friends around all the time! They both just started high school and have both settled in really well; it definitely helped having both Eliza and Alex already there.

Misty, Maya and Phoenix's oldest daughter, has always had an intellegent streak, and seems to be following in her father's footsteps of wanting to be an attorney. Her boyfriend, Emmett, is in his freshman year of college and is studying to be a teacher. Though they're young, the two have discussed tentative marriage plans for a few years in the future.
Mia has been playing the flute since she was seven and is currently planning to pursue some sort of musical career. Zoe, her twin, is more dramatically inclined - in other words, she's a drama queen, both on the stage and off.

She and Ryou, being the closest in age of any of the kids (not including the twins), are the best of friends, though complete opposites. Time certainly does fly, and our kids are no longer babies. They've all grown up so much and are really becoming their own individual selves. It's amazing to see how much they learn, grow, and change each day.
Elisabeth is 16 years old and a junior in high school. She has her first boyfriend, Evan Michael, and they seem to care so much about each other. Aside from one day getting married and having a family of her own, she plans on attending college and majoring in broadcast journalism, with a minor in meteorology, to eventually become a broadcast meteorologist.
John is 14 years old and a freshman in high school. High school was a transition, but he is such a smart young man and is doing very well. He wants to attend college and major in pre-law, intending to become a lawyer.
Livvy and Jacob are 11 years old and sixth graders this year. They're looking forward to finishing elementary school and moving onto middle school. Livvy is a sweet little girl, who adores children and plans on attending college, majoring in education, and becoming a teacher. Jacob, at the moment, is all about the sports and loves baseball. His dream is to become a professional baseball player, though he says if that doesn't work out, he'd like to pursue a career as a police officer.
Grant is 8 years old and in the third grade. He really enjoys school, and like his big brother, is an avid baseball player. He's not too sure what he'd like to become quite yet, though.

He's always been an incredible athlete and was starting quarterback for the football team his freshman year. So far only small schools have taken interest, but we're sure he'll get more attention once he's older. Kaden's also got his first girlfriend! Her name is Cecily Maitland; she's also an athlete (she plays softball and soccer). They've been going out for about two months; he's already smitten.
Charlie and Finn have also started high school and are adjusting well. Charlie is a more reserved than his brother and certainly pays more attention to his academics. He is a writer for the school newspaper and just joined the yearbook photography staff. Finn likes partying (he likes it too much for my taste) and is definitely the troublemaker of the family. Fortunately, he's also interested in sports (especially baseball) so that's keeping him grounded for now.
Deacon is a 6th grader now, new to middle school. He's quite shy when it comes to being around unfamiliar people; luckily many of his friends from elementary school are in his class this year as well. He's the quiet one of our six kids and likes sitting down with a good book on weekends.
Sophie, our only girl, is a third grader. She's quite the social butterfly (measured, according to her, by how many birthday parties she gets invited to). Though she's friendly with just about everyone in her class, she has a smaller group of close friends that she loves being with. I can't say I blame her, what with five brothers at home!
Our youngest, Noah, is in kindergarten. He was so excited on the first day of school because he got to ride the bus with Sophie. When he came home, he proudly showed me how to write his name (he wrote the "a" backwards, but it's a work in progress). His teacher says he's always very enthusiastic in class.

Summer is definetley growing up! She has been considering many different career paths but she seems to be the most set on elementary school teacher. I guess she still has some time to decide,though so we're not pressuring her. We are planning on sending her to University or College depending on what she wants to do. For now she is working at Subway which is good enough for her. She is working there with a few friends and so far she has been enjoying herself. She hasen't shown much of an interest in having children yet but she is still young so that's understandable.
Summer, Niklas and Thomas are all in high school now! My little babies are all grown up! Summer has been getting along great with other students and teachers and she seems to be pretty popular amongst her friends. Thomas and Niklas are a little shy and keep to themselves. I guess it's good that they have eachother to hang out with. They have a few close friends but no big groups or anything. They don't seem too interested in that, unlike Summer who has plenty of friends but none that are more close to her than others.

On our trp to Alaska, Macy met another young vampire. They fell in love at first sight and plan on marrying. The boy's name is Caspian, but he goes by Cass most of the time. He was born in 1954 and was turned at the age of 18. He comes from another 'veggitarian' family.
And. OMG! I just cannot beleive it. My 34th birthday was the other day and Edward (finally) gave me the present I wanted since I was like... 16. I'm now forever 34. That's right! He finally turned me into a vampire! I honestly couldn't be happier. Although since I'm still a 'new born' I'm always hungry and everything. I can't wait until I develp an ability. I hope it's something cool like Edward (reading everyones mind... but mine) or Alice (seeing the future). It's kind of awkward being the oldest in the family (Even Carlisle is still in his 20s) but I still love it.

He also is begging us to turn him into a full vamp. We told him once he could pass for 18 we would turn him. Layla absolutly hates being a vampire. She isvery girly and wishes she had tan skin, but the sun can't tan her very much. She wants to be a model or a fashion designer. Charlotte is more like Simon. She wants to be a full vamp. We told her that once she could pass for 18 also. Charlotte wants to be in a band and is learning guitar. Simon knows drums so he's the drummer. They want to find a bass playing vampire and a singing vampire and call the band "We Suck". The other kids got a kick out of that one. Damian, who just turned 11, is now in middle school. He is kind of a geek so he gets pushed around a lot. Cora, now 8, is in 3rd grade. She is probably one of the sweetest little girls, and I'm not just saying that because I'm her mom. August just started school. He likes it, but isn't thrilled.

On our trp to Alaska, Macy met another young vampire. They fell in love at first sight and plan on marrying. The boy's name is Caspian, but he goes by Cass most of the time. He was born in 1954 and was turned at the age of 18. He comes from another 'veggitarian' family.
And. OMG! I just cannot beleive it. My 34th birthday was the other day and Edward (finally) gave me the present I wanted since I was like... 16. I'm now forever 34. That's right! He finally turned me into a vampire! I honestly couldn't be happier. Although since I'm still a 'new born' I'm always hungry and everything. I can't wait until I develp an ability. I hope it's something cool like Edward (reading everyones mind... but mine) or Alice (seeing the future). It's kind of awkward being the oldest in the family (Even Carlisle is still in his 20s) but I still love it.

Ashton would like to be a lawyer or a doctor, but he's not completely sure yet. Obviously, with dreams like that, he plans on going to college. He'd like to marry (someday) and he seems to want a family as big as ours.
Avril would like to be a teacher of some sort, perhaps in music. She definitely sees a few kids in her future.
Amelie would like to work in the design industry. Currently, she's leaning toward fashion design, and she'd like to marry and have a big family.
Phoenix and River really aren't interested in girls yet, but they both say they want kids. They want to live near each other and their kids will be best friends, they say. Phoenix wants to be a pilot, and River wants to be a chef.
Ruby wants to travel when she gets older. She'd also like to marry the cute boy in her class, the one she has a bit of a crush on. She wants to go to college and work with computers.
