I LOVE Egypt for a girl i have it down, i like Endor for a boy. Endora is cute.
Africa is OK, since it's become slightly established as a name. But Egypt, Somalia and Ethiopia ... those really don't work imo. Imagine if a British child was adopted abroad and just named "England". Or an American child named "United-States". It would be very strange.

Morocco wouldn't be bad. I think some country names are totally usable (America, France, Israel...) while others would be very weird (Australia, England, Ethiopia...).
Endora is really nmsaa.

Names for African children? I really don't think so. I suppose it's possible that some of the children from those countries might have extremely patriotic parents who would name them the local variation of name for the country, but those are the English names for those countries. I'm prepared to bet that there is not a single child with ANY of those names in the whole of Africa.
As names that slightly weird English-speaking parents might give their children, they don't surprise me at all.
Morocco - nms but it wouldn't be terrible.
Egypt - nmsaaaa, but . . . read the history of the name Gypsy
Zaire - this would be cute for a cat
Ethiopia - yeah, let's give a girl a name with the word 'pee' in it
Somalia - not exactly a cheery namesake

Give an Afriacan Child and African Name from their culture, not just the name of random countries drawn out by the British.
agree
Anyone proud of their descent will chose an existing name from their culture. I personally think naming a child after a country is fake.
