Aurora falls into the category of Names I Should Like But Don't. It's perfectly lovely and legitimate, but something about it rubs me the wrong way. I do like Rory as a nickname (and only as a nickname!).

I actually know exactly what you mean- I used to feel the same way about this name :) But after considering it for a while, I've gotten used to it and come to really like it.
